Description – Baker Boys Apricot Slice 300g

Baker Boys Apricot Slice 300g is a fruit-filled bakery slice made with a sweet apricot filling layered over a soft baked base. It is designed to deliver a balanced combination of fruity tartness and bakery-style richness in a ready-to-eat format suitable for everyday enjoyment.

The apricot filling is the key feature of the product, made using apricot (16%) derived from dried apricots with sulphites and apricot puree, combined with sugar, water, humectants, acidity regulators, thickeners, natural flavouring, preservatives, and ascorbic acid. This creates a smooth, slightly thick fruit layer with a distinctive sweet and tart apricot profile. The dried apricot content provides depth and natural fruit character, while the puree contributes smoothness and consistency.

The base is made using wheat flour, sugar, beef fat, sustainable palm oil, milk solids, salt, emulsifiers, raising agents, preservatives, antioxidants, colourings, and acidity regulators. This combination creates a structured yet tender bakery base that supports the fruit filling while maintaining a soft bite.

The inclusion of beef fat contributes richness and a traditional bakery-style flavour profile, enhancing the depth of the base. Milk solids add creaminess, while emulsifiers and stabilisers ensure consistent texture and shelf stability.

The texture of Baker Boys Apricot Slice is layered and balanced. The base is soft and slightly firm, providing structure, while the apricot filling is smooth and slightly sticky with a jam-like consistency. Together, they create a satisfying contrast between fruit softness and bakery firmness.

From a flavour perspective, the slice combines sweet apricot notes with mild tartness, balanced by the sweetness of the base. The result is a refreshing fruit-forward dessert profile that is lighter than chocolate or caramel-based slices.

The 300g pack format is designed for convenience and sharing. It is pre-portioned for easy serving, making it suitable for households, workplaces, and social occasions where a ready-to-eat dessert slice is needed.

Overall, this product delivers a classic apricot bakery slice experience with a balanced sweet-tart fruit filling and soft baked base.
