Description – Baker Boys Berry Brownie Slice 300g

Baker Boys Berry Brownie Slice 300g is a chocolate brownie-style slice topped with a layer of raspberry preserve, designed to deliver a combination of rich cocoa flavour and fruity sweetness. It is part of the Baker Boys dessert slice range in New Zealand, offering convenient, ready-to-eat indulgence in a shareable format.

The base of the slice is a soft, moist brownie made using sugar, vegetable oil, egg, wheat flour, cocoa powder, and flavouring. This combination creates a dense and rich chocolate foundation with a slightly fudgy texture. The cocoa powder provides a deep chocolate profile, while the egg and oil contribute to moisture and softness.

The brownie layer is enhanced with both white chocolate and dark chocolate elements. The white chocolate adds creamy sweetness, while the dark chocolate intensifies the cocoa depth. Together, they create a balanced chocolate base that supports the raspberry topping without overwhelming it.

The raspberry topping is made from raspberry preserve, which includes sugar, apple, water, and a small percentage of raspberry (1%). It also contains stabilisers, acidity regulators, flavouring, preservatives, mineral salts, and colouring agents. This topping provides a sweet-tart contrast that cuts through the richness of the brownie base, creating a balanced flavour profile.

The texture of Baker Boys Berry Brownie Slice is layered and contrasting. The brownie base is dense and slightly fudgy, while the raspberry topping adds a softer, jam-like consistency. This combination creates a multi-textured dessert experience that feels more dynamic than standard single-layer brownies.

From a flavour perspective, the product combines deep chocolate richness with bright berry sweetness. The raspberry layer introduces acidity and fruitiness that balances the sweetness of the brownie, ensuring the product remains enjoyable without becoming overly rich.

The 300g pack format is designed for sharing and convenience. It is suitable for households, office environments, and social occasions where a ready-to-eat dessert slice is needed. The pre-portioned format allows for easy serving without preparation.

Overall, this product delivers a balanced dessert experience combining chocolate brownie depth with fruity raspberry contrast in a convenient packaged slice.

Why Choose This Baker Boys Berry Brownie Slice 300g?

Baker Boys Berry Brownie Slice stands out because it combines two complementary flavour profiles—rich chocolate brownie and tangy raspberry jam—into a single layered dessert slice.

One of its key strengths is flavour contrast. The deep chocolate base provides indulgence, while the raspberry topping introduces acidity and fruitiness, preventing the product from becoming overly sweet or heavy.

Another advantage is texture layering. The fudgy brownie base contrasts with the smooth jam topping, creating a more interesting eating experience compared to standard brownies or single-layer desserts.

The inclusion of both white and dark chocolate elements adds additional depth, creating a more complex chocolate profile that enhances overall satisfaction.

Convenience is also a major benefit. The 300g format is designed for sharing and allows for easy portioning without preparation, making it suitable for everyday use or group settings.

Compared to standard brownie slices, Baker Boys Berry Brownie Slice offers a more dynamic flavour experience due to the addition of raspberry preserve, making it more refreshing and balanced.
