Description – Bakers Tennis Classic Coconut Rusks – 450g

Bakers Tennis Classic Coconut Rusks – 450g is a traditional South African baked rusk product made using the iconic coconut flavour of Bakers Tennis biscuits. Produced by Bakers, a trusted and long-established biscuit manufacturer, these rusks are designed for dunking into hot beverages such as tea or coffee.

The rusks are created through a double-baking process that removes moisture and produces a firm, dry texture. This allows them to be stored for extended periods while maintaining their structure and flavour. Once baked, they are cut into rusk-sized pieces and baked again to achieve their signature crunch.

The coconut flavour comes from desiccated coconut incorporated into the dough, giving the rusks a rich, slightly sweet tropical taste. This is balanced with butter, golden syrup, and wheat flour to create a layered flavour profile that is both sweet and satisfying.

The texture is hard and crunchy when dry, making it ideal for dunking. When dipped into tea or coffee, the rusk gradually softens while retaining its structure, creating a pleasant contrast between crunch and absorption.

Bakers is a well-known South African brand with a long history of producing biscuits and baked goods. The Tennis range is one of its most recognisable product lines, and this rusk variation extends that legacy into a more traditional baked format.

In the New Zealand imported biscuit and rusk market, Bakers Tennis Coconut Rusks offer a unique combination of flavour familiarity and traditional rusk functionality. They stand out from standard biscuits due to their intended use as a dunking snack.

The 450g pack size makes it suitable for households, providing multiple servings for breakfast or tea-time consumption.
