Description – Delmaine Basil Pesto 150g

Delmaine Basil Pesto is inspired by the traditional Genoese pesto recipe from Italy but produced in New Zealand using high-quality local ingredients. It combines fresh basil, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and pine nuts to create a rich, aromatic sauce.

The basil content is high at 27%, giving the pesto its strong herbal character and bright green flavour profile. This is complemented by Parmesan cheese at 16%, which adds savoury depth and a creamy, salty richness.

Pine nuts contribute a subtle nutty flavour and smooth texture, while garlic enhances the overall intensity of the pesto. The combination of olive oil and rapeseed oil creates a silky consistency that makes it easy to mix into dishes.

This pesto is highly versatile and can be used in a variety of culinary applications. It works as a pasta sauce base, a spread for sandwiches and wraps, or a topping for pizza and grilled vegetables.

It can also be used as a marinade for meats or stirred into soups and sauces to add herbal depth. Its concentrated flavour means only a small amount is needed to transform dishes.

Made in New Zealand using Waikato-grown basil, it offers freshness and local sourcing advantages. This supports consistent quality and flavour in every jar.

The smooth texture makes it easy to blend into hot or cold dishes without separation, ensuring reliable cooking performance.
