Description – Freddy Hirsch Dry Wors Original Spice

Freddy Hirsch Dry Wors Original Spice is a specialised seasoning blend designed specifically for producing traditional South African dry wors. Dry wors is a popular cured sausage-style snack known for its rich, spiced flavour and high protein content.

This spice mix contains a carefully balanced combination of coriander, black pepper, salt, and additional spices, formulated to deliver a consistent and authentic flavour profile. Each ingredient is measured to ensure a well-rounded seasoning that enhances the natural taste of meat.

To prepare dry wors, the spice is mixed with ground beef or other meats before being stuffed into sausage casings. The filled casings are then hung to dry in a cool, ventilated environment. Over several days, the meat cures and develops its characteristic texture and concentrated flavour.

The result is a savoury, protein-rich snack with a bold spice profile that is ideal for on-the-go consumption or traditional snack preparation. The seasoning is designed to ensure consistent results across batches.

Beyond dry wors production, this spice blend can also be used to enhance other savoury dishes such as stews, soups, casseroles, and minced meat recipes. It adds depth and complexity to everyday cooking.

Freddy Hirsch is a trusted brand in meat processing and seasoning, known for producing high-quality spice blends used in both home and commercial kitchens. This Dry Wors Original Spice continues that tradition with reliable performance and authentic flavour.

The 1kg pack size is suitable for frequent use, large batches, or bulk preparation, making it ideal for serious home butchers or small-scale producers.
