Description – Gourmet Pre-Mix - Beer Bread Cheese & Onion Flavour 450g

Gourmet Pre-Mix - Beer Bread Cheese & Onion Flavour 450g is a ready-to-use baking mix designed to create a savoury, flavour-rich beer bread infused with cheese and onion. It combines wheat flour, baking powder, cheese powder, onion powder, garlic, pepper, and seasoning components to deliver a bold and comforting bread flavour profile.

The mix is formulated for simplicity and consistency. It only requires the addition of beer or cider, which interacts with the dry ingredients to create a natural rising effect and soft, dense bread texture. The carbonation in the beer helps activate the baking process, while also contributing subtle depth and flavour complexity to the finished loaf.

The cheese element provides a rich, savoury base that enhances the overall taste, while onion powder adds sweetness and aromatic sharpness. Garlic and pepper support the flavour structure by adding warmth and subtle spice notes, resulting in a balanced savoury bread that complements a wide range of meals.

One of the key advantages of this mix is its ease of preparation. There is no need for yeast proofing, kneading, or long rising times. The user simply mixes the ingredients with beer or cider, transfers the batter into a baking pan, and bakes. This makes it highly suitable for both beginner bakers and experienced cooks looking for a quick bread option.

The resulting bread has a dense yet soft crumb with a golden crust and rich savoury aroma. It pairs exceptionally well with hot meals such as soups, casseroles, and BBQ dishes. It also works as a standalone snack bread or toasted with butter and toppings.

The 450g pack size produces a full loaf, making it ideal for family meals, shared dining, or entertaining guests. It offers a balanced portion size that is practical for home baking without excess waste.

From a culinary perspective, beer bread is known for its rustic texture and rich flavour depth. The addition of cheese and onion elevates this traditional style into a more indulgent savoury bread suitable for modern home cooking.
