Description – Mr Chips Crowd Pleasers Beer Battered Wedges 900g

Mr Chips Crowd Pleasers Beer Battered Wedges 900g are made using 85% potatoes, cut into thick wedge-style pieces and coated in a seasoned batter mix before being par-fried in canola oil and snap frozen to preserve quality and texture.

The batter coating includes wheat flour, rice flour, modified maize starch, native starch, salt, yeast, dextrose, and raising agents. This blend is designed to create a crisp golden exterior during cooking while maintaining a soft, fluffy potato interior.

The use of canola oil in par-frying helps improve texture and ensures even browning during oven or air fryer preparation. The result is a wedge that is crispy on the outside while remaining light and fluffy inside.

The beer batter-style coating enhances crunch and flavour, providing a more indulgent eating experience compared to standard wedges. The seasoning profile is balanced to suit a wide range of consumers, making it suitable for both adults and children.

The wedge shape increases surface area compared to straight-cut fries, allowing for better crisping and improved sauce adhesion. This makes them ideal for loaded wedges or sharing platters.

The product reflects Mr Chips’ focus on quality New Zealand-grown produce and traditional preparation methods, ensuring consistency and reliable cooking performance.
