Description – Mr Chips Crowd Pleasers Spicy Coating Wicked Waves 750g

Mr Chips Crowd Pleasers Spicy Coating Wicked Waves 750g are made using 90% New Zealand-grown potatoes, cut into wavy-style fries and coated in a seasoned spicy batter mix before being frozen to preserve freshness and cooking quality.

The coating includes wheat flour, starches, rice flour, tapioca starch, yeast extract, dehydrated vegetables, spices, and spice extracts. This blend is designed to deliver a bold, slightly spicy flavour while maintaining a crispy texture once cooked.

The batter system uses thickening agents and stabilisers such as modified starches, vegetable gums, and mineral salts to ensure consistent coating adhesion and even crisping during oven or air fryer cooking.

Canola oil is used in both the potato preparation and coating system to support browning and crisp texture development. When cooked, the chips develop a crunchy golden exterior with a soft and fluffy potato centre.

The spicy flavour profile is built to be noticeable but balanced, making it suitable for a wide range of consumers who enjoy mild to moderate heat in their meals. The seasoning also enhances versatility, allowing the chips to be paired with dips, sauces, or used in loaded fry dishes.

The wavy cut design increases surface area, improving crispiness and allowing more seasoning to adhere to each chip. This also makes them ideal for dipping and sharing platters.
