Description – Rutherford & Meyer Pear Fruit Paste 120g

Rutherford & Meyer Pear Fruit Paste 120g is a delicious gourmet condiment created to elevate the flavour of premium cheeses and antipasto selections. Carefully made with quality pear pulp, this smooth fruit paste delivers a naturally sweet fruit flavour that perfectly balances the richness and savoury character of artisan cheeses.

Containing 36% pear pulp, the fruit paste captures the delicate sweetness and subtle flavour of ripe pears while maintaining a smooth, sliceable consistency. The carefully developed recipe creates a firm yet tender texture that is easy to cut into portions or spread onto crackers and fresh bread.

Its balanced sweetness complements rather than overpowers accompanying foods, allowing both the fruit paste and the cheese to shine together. The gentle pear flavour makes it especially suitable for stronger cheeses, providing a refreshing contrast that enhances every bite.

One of the classic pairings for Rutherford & Meyer Pear Fruit Paste is mature cheddar. The fruit's natural sweetness softens the sharp, savoury notes of aged cheddar, creating a harmonious flavour combination that has become a favourite on cheese platters.

It is equally exceptional when served alongside blue cheese. The creamy richness and bold character of blue cheese are beautifully balanced by the delicate sweetness of the pear paste, resulting in a sophisticated pairing that is perfect for entertaining or gourmet dining.

Beyond cheddar and blue cheese, this versatile fruit paste also complements brie, camembert, gouda, washed rind cheeses, creamy soft cheeses, and other aged specialty cheeses. It provides an elegant finishing touch to any cheeseboard.

Its versatility extends well beyond cheese. Serve it alongside cured meats such as prosciutto, salami, or chorizo on antipasto platters, or pair it with artisan crackers, toasted baguette slices, crispbread, walnuts, almonds, grapes, apples, or fresh pears for a complete grazing experience.

The smooth consistency also makes it suitable as a gourmet ingredient in sandwiches, wraps, or toasted paninis where a touch of fruit sweetness enhances savoury fillings. It can even be incorporated into appetisers or baked pastry recipes for added flavour.

The compact 120g pack is perfectly sized for entertaining while remaining convenient for regular use. It stores easily in the refrigerator after opening, allowing you to enjoy premium cheese pairings whenever the occasion arises.
