Description – Sunny Hill Kumara Fries 680g

Sunny Hill Kumara Fries 680g are made using 92% kumara, coated in a light batter mix and cooked in sunflower oil before being snap frozen to preserve texture, flavour, and quality. The batter coating helps create a crispy exterior while maintaining a soft, sweet kumara centre.

The coating includes starch, corn flour, modified starch, salt, dextrose, emulsifier (471), and natural colouring, all designed to improve crispness and golden appearance during cooking. This creates a balanced texture with a crunchy outer layer and tender interior.

Sunflower oil is used in the cooking process, providing a light frying medium that supports crisping without overpowering the natural flavour of the kumara. The result is a chip that is both flavourful and relatively light compared to traditional deep-fried options.

Kumara is naturally high in dietary fibre and has a lower glycaemic index compared to regular potatoes, making it a popular choice for consumers seeking more balanced carbohydrate options. The natural sweetness of kumara also enhances flavour without the need for heavy seasoning.

These fries are designed to be cooked before consumption using oven or air fryer methods. Once cooked, they deliver a crispy coating with a soft, sweet interior that pairs well with both savoury and sweet dips.

The product is free from artificial additives, focusing on natural ingredients and a more wholesome frozen snack or side dish option.
