Description – Sunny Hill Kumara Wedges 680g

Sunny Hill Kumara Wedges 680g are made from 95% kumara and coated in a light crispy batter before being cooked in sunflower oil and snap frozen for convenience. The high kumara content allows the natural flavour and texture of the vegetable to remain the centrepiece of the product.

The batter coating contains starch, corn flour, modified starch, salt, dextrose, emulsifier, and natural colouring. This coating is specifically designed to create a crispy golden exterior during cooking while helping the wedges maintain their shape and texture.

Sunflower oil is used to support even cooking and crisping while allowing the natural sweetness of the kumara to remain prominent. The result is a wedge that delivers a pleasant contrast between a crunchy outside and a soft, fluffy centre.

Kumara is widely valued for its naturally occurring nutrients, dietary fibre content, and lower glycaemic index compared to many traditional potato products. Its naturally sweet flavour profile also provides a unique alternative to standard wedges.

The thicker wedge cut provides a substantial bite, making these wedges satisfying enough to serve as part of a main meal or as a premium snack option. Their texture works exceptionally well with sauces such as aioli, sour cream, sweet chilli sauce, or garlic dips.

Designed for oven or air fryer preparation, these wedges provide a convenient frozen food solution that can be prepared quickly while maintaining quality and flavour.
