He has no friends and no-one will come near the creek while he's around. Loongie soon learns why being greedy has its consequences. The character of 'Loongie' was created by mother and son collaborators, Lucy and Kiefer Dann. When Kiefer was a young boy, they would make up stories inspired by Kiefer's country at Loongabid on the Dampier Peninsula in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. This children's picture book is a vibrant mix of colour and emotion and an illustrative debut by young Broome artist, Bronwyn Houston. The images depict the unique mangrove systems, seascapes and colours of the Kimberley.
